Pat Modzianowski is a 1992 graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia and the recipient of the Best Portfolio Award in Photography. She has participated in a select group of museum and gallery exhibits since then. She has also participated in juried fine art and fine craft festivals since 1993. Her black and white photography consistantly receives awards including first place, second place and honorable mention. Her photography consists of color and black and white imagery, although her main focus is in black and white. All imagines are original black and white hand printed gelatin silver. Each image is selenium toned for archival quality. The primary film used is Kodak Tri-X and is developed in D-76 film developer. She currently prints on Ilford Multigrade IV Deluxe RC paper using Edwal Ultra Black as the paper developer, fixed in NH5 and finished with Kodak Rapid Selenium. Images are washed and air dried. No image is manipulated in any way nor are they computer generated or inkjet. All finish work is done solely by the artist, individually hand cutting each mat then assembling as a signed matted and/or framed piece. These selenium toned gelatin silver photographic prints are extraordinary images that are hand processed and cannot be reproduced well enough on these pages to convey the contrasts and qualities of the original prints. *Note from the artist* I wish to thank my loving family and loyal friends without whose belief and support - this dream would not be possible. Capturing the essence of moments in time and allowing Spirit to speak to the viewer has always been at the center of my work. The darkroom is finished and I am now able to create new and exciting images as well as any special order to meet your needs. I am excited about the possibilities and continue to look forward with anticipation to our continued relationship as the journey continues...--Pat Modzianowski |
